Quota International Baton Rouge
Quota International has members in 14 countries across the world who work every day to save lives within their communities. Quota International of Baton Rouge was chartered in 1935 as an organization of professional and business women who have become a force in areas such as healthcare and education. Quota first pioneered Infant Hearing Screening in Baton Rouge that was soon replicated across the world by its sister clubs.
A founding member of the Baton Rouge Speech and Hearing Foundation, Quota Baton Rouge has contributed to projects at Woman's Hospital and Mary Bird Perkins, also endowing a Top 100 Scholarship at LSU. In 1951, the annual Quota Open Door Tour was established as a primary fundraising event, raising thousands of dollars over 66 years to turn back into community service projects. Other initiatives have been a counselor program for deaf students at Louisiana State University and interpreting services to deaf patients at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. Adding the needs of disadvantaged women and children to areas for volunteerism and giving, Quota's fundraising moved in 2010 to an annual spring event, Frocks and Frolics, which continues to bring professional women together to give back to the community under the Quota International motto of "We Share."
Quota Baton Rouge continues to develop leadership skills in professional women while raising funds to help others in ways that have lasting impact on the Greater Baton Rouge community.
