Quota Baton Rouge is a strong network of executives, business owners, and professional women who come together for friendship, leadership development, and service to the Baton Rouge community.
This is how Quota serves our community:
- Co-founded the Baton Rouge Speech and Hearing Foundation, now known as The Emerge Center and supported the Center for 50 years.
- Founded Girls Hope of Baton Rouge.
- Initiated the first mainstream program for deaf and hard of hearing students at Louisiana State University. This program has achieved national prominence.
- Endowed a Top Scholar Program at Louisiana State University with a grant of $100,000.
- Funded construction programs at Woman’s Hospital, Mary Byrd Perkins Cancer Center, and Children’s Hospital.
- Provided amplification equipment to school classrooms and the Performing Arts Center.
- Provided infant hearing testing equipment to hospitals and encouraged the program internationally.
- Provided funding for Louisiana Public Broadcasting Children’s Programs.
- Provided assistance to many community organizations including: Baton Rouge Food Bank, YWCA, O’Brien House, Volunteers of America, Parker House, Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge, Big Buddy, Habitat for Humanity, St. Vincent de Paul Uniforms for Kids, VOA Quota Closet, Life of a Single Mom, Mental Health Association, and Merakey Gateway Transition Services for Youth.
